A disconnect may consist of an LDAP server, AD server, or IT system crash. If the Archive Server becomes disconnected from the LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) or AD (Activity Directory) server users will be prohibited from logging into the vault. Users should not be deleted from PDM because their specific user ID is tied to events and documents in the system. This setting is generally used for employees who have quit, been let go, or are on a leave of absence. If this is checked for either your user or group ID, you will not be able to log into the Vault. In the SOLIDWORKS PDM Administration tool under the Group or Users permission set, there is a check box that says Refuse Login.
Not much you can do about this but ask for a username reminder or have your password reset. While there could be other reasons, most other login problems may lead to one of these root causes. There are five main reasons for login problems with your SOLIDWORKS PDM vault.
